We chat about everyday life, especially politics and values. Our politics are strictly conservative, our social values very conservative, and our views on manners and morality carved-in-granite conservative.
We are staunch believers in the U.S. Constitution, as written with its original intent.
We are not: racists, homophobes, misogynists, religious intolerants, conspiracy theorists or any of that nonsense—although, in these oh-so politically-correct times, the Perpetually Sensitive may occasionally be mistaken for thinking so.
We welcome callers to the show, with this request: please be polite and rational.

Background: Classically-trained chorister, student radical, rock musician, big game hunter, novelist, company executive, blogger, and, now, radio personality. (Yes... I like doing lots of different things. Why do you ask?) My favorite occupation, however, is being a husband and father.
Food: I've eaten all kinds of institutional food: boarding-school, Army, university cafeteria and, for a brief and glorious period, prison. Now I prefer to eat Connie's cooking (at home) and restaurant meals (preferably in Europe).
Drink: Single malt scotch, wine, English bitter ale, gin, rum, sweet after-dinner liqueurs, port, sherry... whatever the occasion calls for, unless it's ouzo, Campari or light beer.
Health: Considering over fifty years of self-inflicted punishment, not too bad. Gout, of course, which I control through diet and (regretfully) less booze. Tend towards being overweight, hence lap band surgery in 2008, which helped a little. High blood pressure, which doctors say is caused by a lack of exercise and a diet of rich foods, but which I say is caused mainly by politicians.
Favorite things: 1911 pistols, "tourer" sports cars, Mauser rifles, and in addition to guns, I collect inks and dipping pens.
Favorite activities: Traveling with Connie, shooting, reading, and this show.
Obsessions: Good manners and social graces, correct spelling and the U.S. Constitution.
Politics: Profoundly conservative. As you will hear.

Background: Child actress, talent agency head, instructional designer, writer and blogger. I started working when I was 15 so my resume is long. According to Kim, I'm a world-class cook (I'm not), but I do love to experiment.
Favorites: I love to travel with Kim, and with the whole family if we can (we have three adult kids). If we won the lottery I'd do nothing but travel. I'm a consummate city person, although we find ourselves in the suburbs for our children's sake. Given my druthers, I'd live in Paris, or London, or Vienna, depending on my mood.
Politics: Even though I grew up in Los Angeles, I am very conservative, perhaps because of my no-nonsense Midwestern upbringing. I was a teenager before I realized that the Democratic Party wasn't the "damned-Democrats," as my dear-old grandmother called them.
Grumbles: Kim and I agree on most things, at least from the 65,000 foot level. The only thing we don't agree on is music. I hate his musical preferences and he hates mine. Result? We don't listen to music together.
Passions: I love debate and argument, as long as the discussion is polite and everyone is well-informed on the topic... and speaking of well-informed... In November I hope to begin a new phase of my life, going to college, to pursue a real education in liberal arts... because education never ends.
Health: Currently, I'm plagued by a back problem, requiring surgery (of some yet to be determined/approved variety). Because of that, I've spent most of the year being a total drag on the whole family and society, our house is a disaster, our garden is nothing but weeds, and I've been completely dependent on Kim for just about everything, but other than that, I'm peachy.
